How to install the SoftRAID driver with macOS Catalina (10.5.1)

If you're using Catalina, and have a T2 Security chip on your Mac, then Catalina (10.15) requires Startup System Security to be disabled (set to none). Read this thread for more information.Read this thread for more information.

Routine crashes even with SIP and Secure Boot Off
#1
I have done every step mentioned in this forum, turning off System Integrity Protection as well as Secure Boot, and I am still getting frequent (like within 15min of startup) whole system crashes. This is with a brand new OWC Thunderbay 6, with 4 Seagate Ironwolf 12TB HDs, set up in a 1+0 volume. SoftRAID Lite XT 5.8 installed, on macOS Catalina 10.15.1.

Is there a proper workaround? As much as I don't like have all of the system protection turned off, I'm ok with that for now, but even that doesn't seem to work, and I'm going to need to start seeking other alternative (hardware raid) enclosures soon.

Crash log attached.

A crash is unrelated to the SIP/Secure boot issues. There should be no crashes.

Send a SoftRAID supprot file to support at softraid and we can take a look at it and try to figure out what is crashing.

5.8.1 will remove the SIP limitation warning, 10.15.1 fixes the bug.

Secure boot is still an issue, we do not have a resolution with Apple on this yet.

The kernel panic is not in the SoftRAID driver or coming from a SoftRAID disk, but it is in the IO stack.

Can you temporarily remove adguard to see if it is involved?

I will try that this evening (it is my home studio computer). I've had Adguard installed for a long time prior to these crashes though, only since using SoftRAID has it start popping up. But I'll see.

The iMac should not be crashing like this and so we need to eliminate this as a variable. Its worth the test.

I cant imaging huesync could cause this, so we should check adguard to be sure.

90 minutes in and still up, so definitely seemed to be AdGuard.

I am curious what that has to do with SoftRAID, if anything. Did it crash even without a SoftRAID disk attached?

I was wrong. Crashed again overnight.

The only other thing I can think of that is running at an IO/kernel level is Dropbox. But if Dropbox can't be placed on a SoftRAID drive, then I really don't have much choice here.
